Background Information
Design Elements
The Panthers logo consists of a head of a panther. The emblem depicts that the Panthers are expert hunters and attack their rivals at the final stage. While creating an emblem depicting speed and strength, I must also consider the appearance of the design on practical uses such as jerseys and apparel.
Primary Logo
My goal for the Panthers concept was to stay true to the animals true instincts. To resemble a panther ready to attack and kill their prey. This theme is very common for sporting logos as it instills fear and intimidates opposing teams. This theme must not only be shown through the logo mark, but also through the typeface.

Many always ask how I conjure my designs, as well as, which steps I take in the process of creating logos. Here is a quick step-by-step video outlining the stages of my logo design.
The Name
It's a name I believe depicts what every sports team should be—powerful, sleek and strong."
Colour Choices
Type
With the typeface of this design, I wanted to stay flush with the purpose of the logo and the name: powerful, sleek, and strong. By adding cuts to the type, this creates an idea of being fast and aggressive, which is what Panthers are.
Colour Theory
The head of the panther in the emblem is black and silver in color; sketched in blue. These colors represent the strength of the team and the aspiration to ace all their performances.
Applications
The costume of the team consists of silver pants with black jerseys or white pants with white jerseys. The white and black jerseys have blue stripes over the shoulders which gives the uniform a unique look.
